The first week the backpacks came home relatively empty, a form to complete, a note from the teacher but academically they were barren. But this is week two and there is homework, a small green folder each day full of letters and sounds and stories. Today's topics, the letter M and words that are single letters. After covering I and A, I asked if they could think of any other letters that could be used as words.

Me: L? How would you use L in a sentence?
Kate: Me gusta el perro.
