My dear husband is a bit tied to the office. The Blackberry has only strengthened this bond, the bloody thing goes everywhere with us, including vacation. My badgering to "let the thing go" is generally met with "you understand this thing is what allows me to take this time away, right?" and that shuts me down, for a day, maybe.
At our recent visit to Sea World, in San Antonio, he was oddly detached, the thing remained in his pocket almost the entire day. World finance went on without him and at the end of the day, over dinner, I reached over, "thank you, I know it's hard but we appreciate spending the day with you".
"Allyson, today is Saturday".
