Birthday Shot

Mary and Kate have accepted, or so we thought, the idea that shots come as part of the birthday celebration. Seems a bit off, doesn't it, but to keep them from really disliking the doctor visit during the year, we assured them that shots only come as part of their check-up after their birthday. This logic has stuck and now, while not scared, they do remind us that they are up soon for birthday shots. One day this weekend Kate was running through all the things that she would like to do on her birthday:
  • go to the beach
  • eat sushi
  • play golf
  • go to the park
  • ride her tricycle
  • eat cake
  • play with Evelyn, and
  • go to the zoo.
Kate then realized that this was going to be a full day, a very full day of birthday celebrating so she suggested that I call her doctor, "I think we should skip the present from Dr. Wilson this year, we're very busy".

We assume Dr. Wilson's present is the shot. Poor Dr. Wilson, she is such a nice person, I can't imagine she wants to be known as the one who gives away shots as a gift. Should M&K write her a thank you? And what exactly would they say?
