Not So Far Away

When Jack and I were married the thing I took away from the day, aside from the dashing husband who promised to always make me laugh, was the overwhelming joy at having all the people I loved in the same room. That doesn't happen often enough, we're all over and rarely in the same place at the same time. But look what has happened, two of the people I love most have discovered what I've known for a very long time, they are simply wonderful friends.

Of course I am wildly jealous, wishing I could be at this amazing farm dinner with them, but the next best thing is seeing them together. And knowing that their husbands, both people I love as well, have found their odd man soul mate in each other, it's really just a lovely story.

Maybe next year, maybe we can all go to Aspen again, or the beach, but if not I'm happy knowing they can be together, as long as I can participate in a voyeuristic creepy kind of way.
